The 2009 Golfers Against Cancer has scheduled this years
Golf Tournament and Research Dinner for November 21-23.
The Research Dinner and Auction will be Saturday November
21th, the Corporate Event will be Sunday November 22nd,
and the open tournament will be Monday November 23th.
“We appreciate Golfers Against Cancer and their generous
contributions to the Stehlin Foundation’s drug development
program,” said Bobby Anderson, executive director
of the
CHRISTUS Stehlin Foundation. “The Golfers do a great
job of hosting a fun event with the serious purpose of benefiting
the most promising cancer research.” All donated funds
from the tournament go directly to cancer research.
GAC member Gordon Findlay got a second chance at life with
the CHRISTUS Stehlin Foundation’s innovative treatment
for pancreatic cancer. The average life expectancy with
pancreatic cancer is four months. A miraculous ten years
have passed since Gordon’s diagnosis.
He enjoys being back in the swing as a businessman, volunteer
and golfer.
