World Class Research Facilities

In 2011, the dedicated team of Stehlin researchers moved from their home of 40 years  – a converted auto parts warehouse in downtown Houston – to a new world-class 27,000 square foot facility containing 13 laboratories.

The facility consolidates administrative offices and research labs for the first time. With state-of-the-art equipment and technology, the groundwork is laid for even greater achievements in the fight against cancer.

Laboratories and Administrative areas:

  • Sisters of Charity of the Incarnate Word Department of Molecular Biology
  • Ellwood Foundation Organic Chemistry Lab
  • Pevehouse Family Central Tissue Culture Lab
  • Golfers Against Cancer Chemotherapy Lab
  • Sid W. Richardson Foundation Tumor Injection Lab
  • Harry S. and Isabel C. Cameron Foundation Pharmacology Lab
  • Curtis and Doris K. Hankamer Foundation Biochemistry Lab
  • Vale-Asche Foundation Tissue Culture Lab
  • The Cullen Trust for Health Care Hyperthermia Lab
  • Sidney “Chief” Dauphin Synthetic Chemistry Lab (Charline and Robin Dauphin)
  • Vivian L. Smith Foundation Analytic Chemistry Lab
  • Patrick B. Scranton Medicinal Chemistry Lab
  • J. Evans Attwell Conference Room
  • Young Texans Against Cancer Library
  • The Friends of the Stehlin Foundation Vivarium
  • Radioactive Studies Lab
  • Histology Lab

Tours of the Stehlin research labs are welcomed, and available by appointment.

Reasons for Hope

The new facility for the CHRISTUS Stehlin Foundation is an appropriate setting for an organization that has made an enormous contribution to the ongoing battle against cancer.”
