Part scavenger hunt, part auto race, but all for the fight against cancer – Susan’s Rally began in 1994 as a brother’s tribute to his beloved sister who died of breast cancer.
The original event raised $4,000, and founder Bruce Roberson was thrilled. In the years since, the Susan Roberson Wade Memorial Car Rally has raised millions to benefit CHRISTUS Stehlin Foundation, Sojourn House, M.D. Anderson Cancer Center, The Rose, and Y-Me, all organizations dedicated to cancer research and support of patients and families.
For information about the organization and its upcoming rally or to register to participate, visit the organization’s website or Facebook page.

On May 4th, 2013, young women will take the field for the first time in an exciting powder puff football game with teams comprised of some of best and brightest in Austin. The game is designed to bring the passion and spirit of young community leaders together to support Young Texans Against Cancer.
“Whether living or dying, all of Stehlin’s patients present to him the terrible emotional burdens of the disease. He is an extraordinary doctor – he seeks the burdens. He charges himself like a battery with the suffering and hope and trust of everyone around him, and then, respectful of how he gets his power, gives it out again in bursts of caring.”
